Connor is never going to stop throwing, but i'm surprised he can't seem to admit or realise it. This is a turn-based game, stop rushing, take your time and think through your moves. Also, there is literally a pop-up that specifically tells you that you need to fight the lair boss in the final region. The game even specifies this lair boss requirement in the tutorial pop-ups the first time, so it is Monke's own fault for not paying attention.

i love this game SOOOOOOOO MUCH! it has quite a bit of a skill gap but its so fun! I've been playing this game since day one and they've always had good events and great characters for the game.

Connor was right not to go Sluice - you do Sluice when you have a run that's strong but you're short on resources, or if your relationships need another round to fix - but otherwise it's very costly. Ambush pigs can wreck your dudes, there's no encounter control, and the Sluice unique loot is very niche. You can get some stuff that works REALLY well with specific builds, but that's playing at experience he hasn't built up yet. Good call, Streamer Mans.

What a journey. The ending of this still makes me emotional, even after all these years.

ff9 is the best one. all the ps1 era ffs are good but 9 is my favorite for how good it was at the time, though 7 is a close 2nd, and 8 and 10 are tied after that, i put 16 up there too.

Not a huge fan of nine, i like some of it but don't like others, like the lack of customization and grindy weapons. Some characters i love like vivi and a lot i'm meh too. Overall its a solid game, but not one i love as much as others. Funny thing about this game is I like to compare it to dragon ball with the whole monkey tail plot being way too similar

There are admittedly a small number of very memorable iconic tracks but the VAST majority of it is mood music and plinky plonk 60 second loops... PLEASE tell me this is due to a terrible taste in music or a hatred of being distracted by any meaningful tunes while playing a game..? NINE!? N I N E!?? I'm dead...

A few infos I want to share since I really want CDawg to genuinely understand the game before defaulting to saying "it's shit". Not attacking or anything, I'm glad that CDawg is actually learning from his mistakes even if some are still present. Darkest Dungeon has always been a difficult game to understand and can still destroy the most experienced by bad RNG. Hope it helps DD2 newcomers. - When saying the Vestal is bad and shit, I can't really think of this as a valid opinion when he unlocks all the skills needed for her, but doesn't upgrade anything when it comes to candles. Most of her skills act completely different depending on what path you choose for her, from the Seraph buffing allies for 5 turns and doing half health bar healings, to her Debuff path doing damage, burns and debuff tokens very easily. And I won't talk about the Tanker path since it's self explanatory. Again, there's a need to read everything to understand the character, but it's redundant to repeat this, even in chat. - For the fight at around 4 hours and a half in, each boss has multiple actions per turn,, the number depends but it's usually 2 or 3. For the Librarian, he has 3 per turn and, when Connor raged about the numbers of actions, he managed to put 3 actions in a row since he had a speed token that was consumed at the start of the next round to make him go again. Annoying, but understandable. - I don't know if he ever read what the barricade's buffs from the Warlord Soldiers encounter... Inflicts bleed on melee attackers and chance of a combo token when they're attacked. That means removing combo tokens and doing heavy melee attacks is the way to go, that or pulling the enemies in front. Otherwise, they'll just add 2 protect tokens on the soldier behind them and the cycle goes on. - You are SO UNBELIEVABLY LUCKY to have won Act 3 on your first try... 6 heroes with positive relationships and plenty of healing salves saved you. The correct strategy for this boss is either to taunt the eyes in Phase 1 to stack all the Special tokens on one person, which will be the only person attacked during Phase 2. That, or to remove the tokens on your allies by either going into stealth, evading the attack or landing the killing blow on the eyes. Anyone going into this fight blindly other than you would have been killed instantly.
